TAMPA, FL – FEBRUARY 1, 2011 Courteous Canine Inc., Tampa’s premier positive reinforcement dog school is pleased to announce an additional South Tampa location.

The new developments come three months after announcing their initial expansion into the South Tampa market at Davis Island’s Wag Natural Pet Boutique.

We’ve had such a great response to our training classes in South Tampa,” explains Courteous Canine’s president and founder Angelica Steinker. “The demand for our original round of curriculum almost immediately exceeded our expectations.”

Courteous Canine’s secondary South Tampa site is located at the Channel District Kennel Club, 1224 East Madison Street, Tampa, FL 33602 and classes for the eight-week Introduction to Agility class is currently in-progress.

Enrollment for the six-week Canine Good Citizen and Pet Therapy Preparation Class is also underway with instruction beginning Tuesday, February 22nd.

All techniques used by Courteous Canine instructors are dog-friendly meaning no choke chains, no prong collars and never any shock collars. All training is fun and force-free, for both the dogs and their parents.

All Courteous Canine instructors are also certified and have access to more than 1,300 scientific behavior and learning books and articles, enabling them to provide clients and students with the most up to date, and accurate, behavior modification techniques. Instructors also work with cats and their parents, one on one in an enclosed environment to address problem behaviors such clawing, spraying (or failing to use the litter box), biting or other aggressive behaviors. Felines can also learn essential skills including ‘sit’, ‘down’, how to walk on a leash as well as how to play games.
