Parkour for Dogs
Do you want a way to exercise your energetic 4-legged companion outside of your normal routine? Do you have a shy pup that you’re hoping to bring out of their shell?
Dog Parkour or Urban Agility dog training is a fun and creative way to use the objects in your environment to help bond with your pup, build athleticism, and grow confidence! Using game-based training and play this class is designed to get you and your dog up and moving.
This one time 90 minute group class will cover all of the basics of Dog Parkour and will be scaled to the individual pup’s skill level. This is an outdoor class so please wear closed-toed shoes that you are able to walk, run, and jog in.
In order to qualify for this class you must have taken Basic Manners or the equivalent. This class is provided in a group setting with a maximum of eight dogs. Cost only $39.
The class price was very reasonable. The limited amount of students per class is appealing. Facility is gorgeous. Trainer was very encouraging to us. We brought cheese as our high value treat but it melted in the heat and I liked that we were able to use some of theirs. I want to do agility. I plan on taking other classes,too,since they look like fun! I am very happy that you use positive reinforcement and conditioning practices. They have classes that accommodate my work schedule.
We’ve loved every class and instructor we’ve had with our pup, Hondo. Classes are always fun and the instructors are very informative, giving us the information we need to help our pup be the happiest he can be.
I simply love Courteous Canine, in particular, Angelica Steinker, M.Ed., C.C.B.C., CAP2, author of “Click & Play Agility,” who is helping Maxine and me learn how to run an agility course. We’ve come farther than I thought we could and the only thing holding Maxine back is my memory of the course. Angelica is teaching me how to handle Maxine and give her cues for the obstacles to maneuver. Angelica makes class a fun experience, cheering you on for your strong points and helping you through your weak points. We see others attending other classes at Courteous Canine and all students, both canine & human, come out smiling as broadly as Maxine and I do after class. COURTEOUS CANINE IS THE BEST!
RAIN POLICY
For private training and group instruction that is held outdoors, we will make every attempt to contact students at least two hours before if we are canceling class. Classes are held during light rain, if there is lightning classes are cancelled. If you see lightning during your class, please let your instructor know immediately.
If you don’t hear from your instructor, your class will occur as scheduled.
VACCINE POLICY
To participate in class, your dog must have received:
- Distemper/Parvo (core combination)
- Leptospirosis
- Rabies
- Bordetella
- Canine Influenza
If your dog is not eligible for these vaccines, we will also accept a letter of exemption from your veterinarian due to your dog’s age or medical status.
