TAMPA, FL – October 18, 2010 – Courteous Canine Inc., Tampa’s premier positive reinforcement dog school is pleased to announce the location for its fifth Bay-area site.

South Tampa’s Wag Natural Pet Boutique is located at 304 East Davis Blvd. and is the latest location addition to Courteous Canine’s lineup of classes including the ever-popular, puppy kindergarten as well as an all-ages manners class.

“We’re really excited about our partnership with Wag Natural Pet Boutique,” says Courteous Canine’s president and founder Angelica Steinker.  “We’ve had so many requests from clients to expand into the South Tampa region, its great news that we’ve finally found a location to partner with.”

The first All-Ages Basic Manners class begins Tuesday, November 9th at 6:45pm and is limited to six dogs and their handlers.  Classes typically run an hour a week for 6 weeks.

All techniques used by Courteous Canine instructors are dog-friendly meaning no choke chains, no prong collars and never any shock collars.  All training is fun and force-free, for both the dogs and their parents.

Steinker is also eager to expand the beginning menu of services and plans to eventually offer popular classes such as trick training and one of the classes required for beginning therapy dogs and their handlers: the Canine Good Citizen course.

All Courteous Canine instructors are also certified and have access to more than 1,300 scientific behavior and learning books and articles, enabling them to provide clients and students with the most up to date, and accurate, behavior modification techniques.  Instructors also work with cats and their parents, one on one in an enclosed environment to address problem behaviors such clawing, spraying (or failing to use the litter box), biting or other aggressive behaviors. Felines can also learn essential skills including ‘sit’, ‘down’, how to walk on a leash as well as how to play games.
