Introducing Florida's First Dog Dock Jumping Pool
and Dog Dock Jumping Program

A competitive Dock Jumper since 2006, Marty and his dog MollyBGoode (aka: Molly) have won 3 overall titles with
2 different jumping organizations. Marty and Molly are one of the most consistent teams in the sport never failing
to be in the top 12 in any event they have entered. Marty has also done demo events and instructional seminars for
various groups from Ohio to Florida.
Marty shares the philosophy that the most important part of Dock Jumping is having a fun pastime to share with your dog.
All dogs progress at their own pace, building trust between the dog and handler is a big part of
Dock Jumping.
Dock Jumping Course Information
There are two ways to get started in dock jumping:
- Sign up for an Intro to Dock Jumping class. Sign up for an Intro to Dock Jumping class.
This is a ONE TIME CLASS that lasts 60 minutes which introduces you and your dog to the sport!
The cost of this group class is $30 per dog and is limited to 4 dogs per class.

- Private instruction is also available with Martin at $65 per hour and $40 for a half hour.
Pool rental for existing students only $40 per hour outside groups pay $50 per hour and $10 per each additional person.
We also offer Vertical Jumping another variety of dock jumping where the dogs jump up rather than out into the pool.
Pictured at right is Martin's young dog Rebel who is showing tremendous aptitude for vertical jumping.

Dock Pool Information
Our dock and above ground pool are located in Lutz at Courteous Canine, Inc.'s main location. The area around the
pool is one acre with six-foot privacy fencing. Here are some photos of our pool.
Below is the head on view of the dock. To the right is the vertical rig which holds the toy for when the dogs perform the high jump. The rig is loaded with a toy and then rotated so that the toy hangs above the water.
Above at left you can see the stairs that the dogs climb to exit the pool. When dogs first learn how to use the pool it is recommended that owners get in the pool with their dogs, so if your dog is new to the sport, bring a change of clothing.
While sporting breeds excel in dog dock jumping almost all high drive dog love the sport. Even dogs that were afraid of water can learn to enjoy the sport. The key is to go slow. To date we have the following dog breeds enjoying the pool:

- Papillion
- Border Collie
- Poodle
- Labrador
- Labradoodle
- Finish Spitz
- Australian Shepherd
- Yorkshire Terrier
- Dutch Shepherd
- German Shepherd
- Chesapeake Bay Retriever
- Flat Coated Retriever
- And a variety of mixed breed dogs!

Below is the side view of the pool, this is what the audience sees. Both the pool and dock are 40-feet in length so the entire pool is 80-feet long.
