For more than 15 years, Angelica Steinker, president and founder of Courteous Canine, has specialized in dog training methods that create, “Results the Fun Way.” Using Empowerment Training and Clicker Training techniques, Angelica has successfully trained hundreds of puppies and adult dogs in basic manners/obedience, trick training, problem behavior modification, agility, dock jumping and other skills, all while increasing the bond of trust between dogs and their human companions.
Angelica is a published author in the field of dog training and agility. Her books, Agility Success: Training and Competing with Your Dog in the Winning Zone and Click and Play Agility, address the handler of the agility team and the use of clicker training techniques in the sport respectively, and emphasize the importance of playing and bonding in order to train agility behaviors to the highest level.
Angelica has also been published in the Journal of Applied Companion Animal Behavior and the Journal of Veterinary Behavior, both of which are peer-reviewed professional journals. She has been published in the APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) Chronicle of the Dog Newsletter, Dog & Handler, Animal Trainer Magazine, Dog Sport Magazine, Dalmatian Quarterly, and Clean Run, the dog agility magazine.
She is endorsed by National Dog Obedience Instructors and the International Institute of Applied Companion Animal Behavior, and she serves on the Advisory Board and instructs at the Companion Animal Sciences Institute. Angelica is also certified as a Dog Behavior Consultant through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants.
Angelica is a sought-after public speaker who has presented at conferences across the country including the famous Camp Gone to the Dogs in Vermont, the Association of Pet Dog Trainers Annual Conference, BARK Agility Camp, and Karen Pryor's Clicker Expo.

Danelle Reaver is a Courteous Canine Instructor who passed her Clicker Assessment Protocol level 1 with distinction, and she is also an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. In addition to her work with Couteous Canine, Danelle works in Human Resources and has a Degree in Business Administration Management.
Danelle parents two dogs, a Welsh Terrier named Frank and an Italian Greyhound named Vinni. Frank has competed and won his class in Terrier races and is anxiously awaiting his new agility career, and Vinni is preparing for a career in agility.

Katie brings a great love of dogs and a commitment to understanding their behavior to Courteous Canine. She has passed her Clicker Assessment Protocol via Kay Laurence's Learning About Dogs program and is also an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. Katie is following her passion for behavioral work by pursing a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology, while she continues her canine studies by attending seminars with Dr. Ian Dunbar and Dr. Susan Friedman.
Both of Katie’s dogs are AKC Canine Good Citizens and she competes in agility with her Corgis.

Beverly Woodward is one of Courteous Canine's most experienced professional trainers. She very successfully competes at the highest level in agility. Her rescue Corgi “Ben” was the top ranked agility Corgi for 2008, Ben’s bio was written up in Clean Run Magazine (www.Cleanrun.com) in the Shelter Champs Column.
Bev has trained her dogs to numerous titles in the American Kennel Club, United States Dog Agility Association and Canine Performance Events, North American Dog Agility Council (www.NADAC.com) competing at the highest level in agility.
Bev has her Clicker Assessment Protocol Level 2 from Kay Laurence (www.learningaboutdogs.com). She is a graduate of two internship programs through Pat Miller (www.peaceablepaws.com). She is committed to her ongoing education having attended Clicker Expo, Ian Dunbar and dozens of agility seminars.

Jill’s background is as a research assistant in organic/biological chemistry. She worked for many years at various academic and private institutions including Stanford University, Baylor College of Medicine-Houston, Kennedy Space Center, University of Hawaii and University of South Florida. She has coauthored 2 publications in the Journal of the American Chemical Society. She left full time work to spend more time with her son and has spent the last few years volunteering at local schools and for children’s organizations. She has a passion for dog agility and competes with both her Border Collie and young Golden Retriever. Jill loves the agility as it gives dog parents the opportunity to bring out the personality in their dog. She competes in AKC agility earning excellent titles with her Parson Russell Terrier, Chopper, and Border Collie, Abbey. She has attended seminars with Linda Mecklenburg, Carrie Jones, Stuart Mah, Chris Parker, Greg Derrett, Cheryl Fisher, Webb Anderson, Craig French and looks forward to continuing her education in other areas of dog training.

Jan Casey is a native of Tampa who has enjoyed teaching for more than 20 years. She began her journey of working with dogs professionally in 2001 when Missy, her Border Collie mix in training for agility, became reactive. Jan sought help from Angelica and, using reward-based training, was able to title Missy in both NADAC and USDAA. Building on the positive foundations
learned at Courteous Canine, Jan continued her training with Pat Miller of Peaceable Paws. She opened her own dog training school while living in Cookeville, TN, where she taught Basic Manners, S.T.A.R. Puppy, Canine Good Citizen, and Agility. Jan also worked with modifying problem behaviors in dogs. She served on the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Cookeville/Putnam County Animals (a fund-raising group for animal projects including the Shelter and the Spay/Neuter Clinic) and provided agility and training demonstrations at their local Bark in the Park. She continues to write an informational Pet Page, now in its fourth year, for the Cookeville Herald-Citizen. Happy to be back in Tampa and at Courteous Canine, Jan is currently pursuing her Diploma of Canine Behavior Science and Technology through CASI.

Pam has always had a special love for dogs and is committed to positive reinforcement training. Both of Pam's dogs have their AKC Canine Good Citizen certification and have passed their test to become registered pet therapy dogs with the Delta Society. Pam is passionate about her work as a pet partner team with the Delta Society. She and Charlie currently have over 225 volunteer hours visiting St. Joseph's Children's Hospital. She is currently working on the necessary requirements to become a Delta Society evaluator. Pam also trains both dogs for agility and they compete in trials at the Excellent level in AKC and have several titles in Canine Performance Events.

Kari is a native to the Tampa Bay area. While earning her bachelor’s degree in Psychology/Animal Behavior she worked for five years as a veterinary assistant for a small and large animal practice. After graduation and the completion of several animal related internships, Kari began working as an animal trainer at Busch Gardens, Tampa. For seven years her coworkers consisted of giraffes, rhinos, hippos, lions, hyenas, and eventually Asian elephants. It was at Busch Gardens that Kari developed a passion for positive reinforcement training as she mentored with some of the best animal trainers in the industry. Presently Kari is utilizing these skills working as a Behavior Analyst at a school for children with developmental disabilities. She is very excited to be a part of the team at Courteous Canine, Inc and is looking forward to sharing her knowledge with those who posses the same passion and love for animals. Kari shares her home with her wonderful husband, Jason, and two amazing boys, William and Nicholas.
